I'm back from a great time at the RSA Conference in Portland, OR! This was my first RSA and it was great to see so much interesting work being done in the field.
I didn't present at the conference but did participate in the Research Network Forum on Thursday. I'm very grateful for the thoughtful feedback from the group on the short sections from my dissertation project on rhetoric and imagination. Between the RNF and the Midwest Winter Workshop hosted here at IUB in February, I've been lucky to have had high-impact opportunities for feedback from peers and senior scholars this year.
Writing my dissertation has been an especially slow process over the last year and a half as I needed to start working full-time. While a little overwhelmed, I overall left the conference motivated to work hard this summer and go on the market this fall!
