ENG-W 171
Topics in Digital Literacy
I was part of the pilot of this digital-literacy focused composition course. My own iteration focused on our relationship to games. Students wrote about their relationship to games and proposed games that could address a chosen problem through play.
ENG-W 131
Analytical Reading, Writing, and Inquiry
One iteration of this course that I particularly enjoyed gamified the class, asking students to build character sheets to track their learning and experience gained in Writopea, the land of academic writing.
ENG-R 210
Intro to Digital Rhetoric
This intensive writing/advanced composition course surveyed digital rhetoric with a particular focus on how our relationship to technology shapes/is shaped by an understanding of the future. Students created research web texts exploring a chosen technology.
Assistant Director of Composition
WPA Experience
In addition to my own courses, I have worked to update the composition curriculum and train new graduate students through their first semester teaching first-year composition.
